Well, it’s official. After months of brainstorming, sketching, knitting and sewing… I am very excited to share the news. The Mama Moderne signature apparel and toy collection is finally here!

That’s right. We have launched our own line.

Why? Well first, designers have a very hard time sitting still. After several months of shopping for C and finding few baby brands we really liked, the creative side wondered if we couldn’t do something about it. Devoting ourselves to a ‘less is more’ mentality, we set out to design an apparel collection that was simple, modern and pure for both baby and the planet. Organic fabrics, gorgeous prints and styles that are both contemporary and comfortable for everyday wear. Then, with the idea of bringing illustrations to life, we set out to create a line of uniquely designed toys – each carefully hand-crafted to engage little minds and encourage them to explore their world and imagination. Each of our signature animals tells a tale of where they’re from – including Bhanu, our Indian elephant, Kulala, our sleepy African lion and Mel, our Australian sea turtle. I can’t believe the whole thing has finally come to life… and in such a big way.

We’re extremely honored and excited to partner with Nashville’s best baby boutique for the launch of our signature collection. If you haven’t been to Tweed Baby Outfitters, you absolutely must go (and not just because we’re there). Maggie is amazing and her creativity makes the store the kind of place you’d spend an entire day exploring. It’s obvious that she carefully hand selects every piece in her store because you’d be hard-pressed to find something you didn’t love.

To celebrate our debut we’re planning a trunk show and launch party at Tweed on Saturday, June 18th! Mark your calendars. Maggie will be having her Spring sale, there will be goodies, giveaways and lots going on in the area. You won’t want to miss it!
