Kate has a beautiful family, and with four children, she seems to have energy to spare! She’s an avid runner and I’ve always admired her for hitting the pavement during and right after her pregnancies. If only that kind of dedication were contagious!

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I love seeing my children’s sweet, smiling faces first thing in the morning, and tucking them into bed at night. Those are two special times of the day.

What is the hardest part of being a mom?

Trying to have a conversation with my husband when the kids are awake.

What values did your parents instill in you that you would most like to pass on?

Knowing that the most important decision you will make in your life is having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

What do you remember most about your mother?

She was always there for me, had great advice, and is a very gifted and talented person.

How do you destress or relax?

I love to run, paint, make jewelry, and bake. Being creative is relaxing to me.

What is your favorite word? Least favorite word?

The first word that comes to mind is ‘positive’. Least favorite, ‘negative’.

What is your favorite sound? Least favorite sound?

Country Music and Michael Buble! Whining.

What is your favorite book to read to your child?

Bible Stories.

As a mom, what is one thing you couldn’t possibly live without?

My minivan!

What is most important for your family to do together?

Go to church together, and spend quality time on the weekends doing special activities together.

What advice do you have for new parents?

Enjoy each and every moment with your children and take lots of pictures. Also, to remember they are “on loan to us” from God.
