This week we’re off to Central America to meet Tina, wife and mother to four very beautiful kids. She and her husband are Christian missionaries currently serving in Panama after having just finished language school in Costa Rica.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching my children grow into who God is making them to be.

What is the hardest part of being a mom?

Letting them learn about the consequences of bad choices.

What values did your parents instill in you that you would most like to pass on?

I remember so many times my own mother telling me that no matter what I ever did, she would still love me. I believed her. I hope that my children would know the same is true of my love for them.

When did you first consider yourself grown up?

I wonder when this will happen. From time to time I still catch my breath when I look at my life and four kids. When did I grow up enough to be responsible for all of this!

How do you destress and relax?

I love down time in my home where I can just clean and catch up on my life. Yes, cleaning is a relaxer for me. Strange, I know. Oh and I eat. Chocolate.

What is your favorite sound? Least favorite sound?

The sound of my kids laughing together. The sound of my kids fighting with each other.

What was the transition to parenthood like for you and your husband?

One kid was a blast. Two kids was still doable. Three kids nearly killed us. Four kids was a breeze. I think what they say must be true, if you can make it past three, you have it made!

What is most important for your family to do together?

Eat dinner at the table with the TV off!
